Water your own garden

Yes, I love gardening, it is known!
But this blog will be more so about how I'm noticing more and more people around me so busy looking at other people's grass that they forget to water/mind their own.

Competition, envy, backhanded compliments, stealing work/ideas, unasked advice or mockery hidden as a joke, little slights, it's all part of the daily landscape.
I see it especially so amongst women and quite frankly, it's aggravating.
Especially now I have a daughter myself, thinking how she's going to grow up trying her hardest at life but still being subjected to this pettiness, feels disheartening

The "women supporting women" ideology you hear so much about seems to be a fable cause all I see is a big play, women pretending to support, but secretly envy/dislike said women.

Yeah it might seem a bit in your face to just bluntly talk about this, but I've had my fair share of it and I'm a bit over pretending it's okay.
You see it's already hard work enough to just maintain our own lives and minds, so I've decided to not give it any more mental anguish and to actually start speaking out on it when I spot it.

Let's use our energy and lives wisely and make something beautiful of it instead of constantly peaking over our neighbours fence.
